Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of this site and the intelligence on it. Plain and short, because that is the whole brand.

Effective May 30, 2026.

The short version: this site provides verified intelligence about government data, including programs, reports, dashboards, and software. We work to keep every fact pinned to its government source and current, and you should verify against the primary source before you act. Use the site lawfully, and treat the content as licensed to you, not sold.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and VerisGov ("VerisGov," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of the website at verisgov.com and the content and services we make available (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. What the Services are

VerisGov finds, verifies, and productizes government data and pins each fact to its government source. The Services are research and intelligence to inform your decisions. They are not legal, financial, tax, or grant-writing advice, and they do not guarantee any outcome. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with any agency that publishes or administers the data we describe.

3. Verify before you act

We work to keep every fact accurate, sourced, and current, and we track sources for change. Government programs evolve, and primary sources are authoritative. Before you commit time or money based on anything here, verify it against the cited primary source. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract content except as a recognized search or answer-engine crawler operating within our published robots policy;
  • interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems;
  • misrepresent the Services as your own or remove attribution from content; or
  • use the Services to build a competing dataset by systematic copying.

5. Intellectual property and license

The Services, including the organization, presentation, and original analysis of the information, are owned by VerisGov and protected by intellectual-property laws. Underlying government facts are not owned by anyone; our compilation and presentation of them are. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your internal business purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Third-party links

The Services link to government sources and other third-party sites so you can verify facts at the source. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or policies. A link is not an endorsement.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or without error, or that any fact is complete or current at the moment you read it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VerisGov will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold VerisGov harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes and termination

We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. The "Effective" date above shows the current version, and material changes will be posted here. We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
